Methods of use
Honey can be eaten raw or can be used in baking. It is the perfect sweetener and can be used in coffee and tea instead of sugar, as a spread on bread or toasted bread, in yogurt and in baking. It can also be used as a sweetener in savory dishes.
How to store
Keep your honey in a dark place with room temperature, away from direct sunlight and in a tightly sealed jar. Ideally, use its original container. Avoid storing honey in metal because it can oxidize and also avoid plastic containers. Do not refrigerate.
Caution: Do not give your child honey, until they’re over 1 year old. Occasionally, honey contains bacteria that can produce toxins in a baby’s intestines. Older children and adults are not affected because they have natural defences in the gut to prevent production of the toxin.
